Omar Fayek
1st Assistant Director
Omar Fayek was the First AD on several projects in college and outside of college. He graduated from both SAE Dubai and The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. He got his Bachelor's for Film at SAE and then went on to learn more about his craft and got his Master's of Fine Arts for Filmmaking at New York Film Academy. Omar is a very hard working person, and is very well driven. He wants to reach the top in his filmmaking career, and he is willing to do all the grunt and hard work to get there. He started off as a PA, then moved up many positions in the student filmmaking world, until he reached the level of 1st Assistant Director. He loves the Job and it is his dream to become a professional 1st Assistant Director.
"Where"
Where, is a short film that is not released yet, that Omar Fayek Produced for another student at the New York Film Academy. He produced it by getting permits through Film LA, Hiring the crew, overlooking the set, and making sure that the 1st AD was doing her job with the timings and how she was running the set. Omar always made sure that the Director of the film was always happy. Omar also ran errands in the middle of the shoot for the Director to help him finish his film as he only had the location for one day.

This film was shot on a short course Omar Fayek took in the U.K. along with his other colleagues. They were sponsored by SAE Dubai and Academy Plus in Cardiff, Wales to go abroad for two weeks and learn more about filmmaking and create their own Master Piece. Omar Fayek Stars and First ADs in Spirit Manor. He said, "It was really tough First ADing and being the lead role in this short film. Managing the crew and worshipping the schedule while at the same time rehearsing and going into character. Definitely, a challenge I want to do again."
